Nice to meet you!

Hayley Mousley

Hi. I’m Hayley.

I’m 44, I live in Oregon, and I share a house with my boyfriend, his parents, a pair of cats, and a herd of hermit crabs who absolutely believe they own the place. Life here is busy, a little chaotic, and very lived-in.

By day, I’m a paralegal. I work with paperwork, details, deadlines, and the quiet weight of helping people through complicated moments. I’m also a caretaker for a woman with dementia, which means a lot of patience, repetition, gentleness, and learning how to meet someone where they are instead of where they used to be.

Outside of that, I am deeply in love with forest things. Moss. Leaves. Old paths. Soft light through trees. I love witchy things, but not the shiny kind. The quiet kind. The kind that lives in kitchens and notebooks and routines. The kind that works alongside real life instead of pretending it doesn’t exist.

Most of the time, I feel like a little goblin.

I collect small useful things. I keep too many notebooks. I like objects that earn their place by being comforting and practical at the same time. I love tabletop roleplaying games because they feel like shared storytelling and gentle ritual rolled into one. Long sessions, warm drinks, dice on the table, notes scribbled in the margins. It’s cozy in a way that feels earned.

Bog Pocket grew out of all of that.

This space is for soft, useful things inspired by goblincore, witchcore, and tabletop roleplaying games. Journals that can be spellbooks or character notes. Bags and totes that carry dice, snacks, and daily essentials. Mugs for long sessions and quiet mornings. Sweatshirts for cool evenings and well-loved routines.

The blog is where I leave notes from the bog. Thoughts about everyday magic, cozy living, being a little feral in a very real world, and finding comfort in things you can actually use.

If you love forests, witchy things, tabletop games, and the kind of magic that fits into ordinary life, you’re in the right place.

Welcome in.
